This Global Privacy Policy explains how Shanghai Model Organisms Center Inc (abbreviated as SMOC below) and its affiliates, subsidiaries or related companies collects, holds, and uses visit information on www.modelorg.com (hereinafter referred to as “this website”). By using this website, you agree that SMOC may collect and use the information (including personal data) as stipulated in this privacy policy and acknowledge that SMOC may, at its discretion, periodically change, revise, supplement, or delete this privacy policy, or update its content through other means. When the retention of your personal data is no longer required we will delete or anonymize the data.

When national authorities require SMOC to disclose personal data in accordance with legal procedures, SMOC will provide personal data as requested by law enforcement    agencies or for public safety purposes. In such cases, SMOC will not bear any responsibility for the content disclosed. SMOC might use personal data beyond the necessary scope under the following conditions: written consent has been obtained from you; to prevent urgent danger to your life, body or property; to prevent significant harm to the rights and interests of others; to enhance public interests and it does not harm your major interests.

As is the case with all websites, applications, products and services, however, information transmitted over the internet or stored on systems connected to the internet is not 100% secure and we unfortunately cannot guarantee security of the data collected at all times.
