Immune-Related Mice

Immune-Related Mice

Mice with defective adaptive immunity including nude, SCID and NOD-SCID mice, can effectively control common opportunistic agents such as Pseudomonas spp., until myeloablative effects from irradiation or other interventions eliminate their innate immunity as well. The effects of ionizing radiation on other tissues, and on developing or proliferating cells, influence morbidity and mortality of research mice.

Immunodeficient

Immunodeficient mice are specialized laboratory models that lack specific components of their immune system, making them invaluable for studying human diseases and testing therapeutic interventions. These mice can be readily applied for PK/PD assays, reconstitution of a humane immune system, CDX/PDX model construction, disease research, drug efficacy evaluation and more.
